Default Split Screen with a time-lapse and slomo

Hey guys, so I make short kayaking videos and am curious to see how one effect could work. I've got footage of a friend kayaking off a waterfall where the composition of the footage is half waterfall and half sky, and have a good 10 mins of the sky. I was hoping to find a way of having the paddler going off the waterfall in slomo whilst increasing the speed of the sky. Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot

Put one track above the other and use the masking tool to get ride of the bit you don't want on the top track.
