Thread: have a conversation with you and your self in one scene?

  1. Default have a conversation with you and your self in one scene?

I want to make a part in my video that has me and another one of me like a clone and talking to each other but I don't understand how they make the timing right. since there is only one of me and I have to talk back to basically no one how do I time what I say so it matches what I said in the first scene?

    Here is an example

    Multiplicity 1 - YouTube

    Default

You have to get use to the timing of the script. Record the first version of you saying the lines of the second version in your mind to keep the timing right, then record the second version of you saying the first version in your mind. You could try setting up some sort of play back so you could hear the first version. Another solution is to have cut away shots so you can edit the piece and correct the timing of the conversation.

There may be other ways to do it such as having someone off camera reading the other part but I am assuming you are on your own when filming.
