Default What color gamut monitor for broadcast color correction?

    Hi.

I know that for color correction you would need a very expensive monitor. The thing is that in Greece budgets are small. I was wondering if I could do a pretty descent job by using an ordinary computer monitor with eIPS panel like the dell u2412m. The color gamut that produces is Standard gamut = 71% NTSC, 74.3% Adobe RGB, 95.8% sRGB.

Not all the adverts in Greece are big budget and there is a lot of internet work to be done as well.

And a subquestion if I may. Does an AJA harware make such a big difference in the video quality and if yes which is an inexpensive solution?

    Thanks

    Costis

I am now thinking of getting one dell u2412m with 95% of sRGB for editing and one dell u2410 with 105% NTSC gamut for color correction.

I have checked the following reviews

    Dell U2412M Review

    Dell U2410 Review

    Any thoughts?
