So that's the PVC of the folder with some velcro on the bottom?
Is that Velcro got the sticky side?...Eww, I cannot imagine letting that glue on my camera, But nice ingenuity.
Both parts of the velcro are attached to the pvc. No velcro is stuck to the camera. The pvc hood wraps around the screen and is held in place with the velcro. This enables the hood to be attached, positioned and removed easily and quickly. Also i can fold the hood flat for transport and storage![]()

Nice one. Have you tried it out in the sun, I noticed a small gap near the screen, is that an issue ?
for use on sunny/bright days was the the whole idea behind it. and im pleased to say it works fine. the holes either side where the folds are do not cause a problem.
I have something similar a friend at Staines club made for me out of a Whisky bottle box, two paper clips and an elastic band! One of the most usefuk pieces of kit I have. I'll see if I can remember to post a photo.

As you insist!

I think the Heath Robinson allusion is rather unfair on my friend as the Heath Robinson inventions were, of course, unnecessarily over-complicated, whereas this device is simplicity itself.
Indeed it rather makes your effort look overly complex - Velcro indeed!
