DVDShrink is pretty good. Squeezes most into a 4.3 gig DVD+/-R without noticable degredation. Allows stripping out unwanted tracks and menus too.

Well, to be honest, if you start talking about others, you can only list the shortcomings compared to DVDShrink and that's not very polite or interesting.

Just out of interest, I just copied my first DVD (one of my own, so no encryption/size issues) with DVD Decrypter. Seemed pretty good to me.

DVD rebuilder? I don't backup dvds these days, i rip 'em to xvid, but i believe DVD rebuilder is a good one.
