Adding animation on still picture

Hello,

I have still picture that is in my Video Vegas project (I'm using latest iteration of this software). I would like little asteroid thing to fly by on the still image from time to time.

Anyone can explain me how to do it?

In principle it's simple. In practice it might not achieve what you want.

Place your background image on track 2
Place an image of the asteroid with a transparent background on track 1
Click the "Track Motion" icon for track 1 (it's one of the little icons in the header)
Change the Composite Mode button from Source Alpha to 3D Source Alpha (this enables the Z-axis controls.
Move the asteroid to where you want it.
Move along the timeline to the next time you want to set a position.
Move the sateroud to where you want it.
Repeat ad nauseum.

The downside is the asteroid will only move in a straight line from one point to the next. Track motion following a path (so you could draw a smooth arc for example, is something Vegas users have been requesting for years. Sadly version 11 still doesn't have this facility.
