Question Question about AVC m2ts output from Vegas

    Hi,

If anyone has seen my post here you will see that I have discovered not all AVC m2ts files are the same!

I have installed and tried more video applications and tools than I care to count in the last few weeks and am hoping a Vegas user can help me out.

Can someone using a current verion of Vegas (not Pro please) produce a 1080i AVC mts or m2ts and then view the file details with something like Media Info or similar and confirm:

    1. The format type
    2. The scan type

I am looking for an application that produces1080i .m2ts (or .mts) AVCHD in BDAV or Blu-ray format with interlaced scan type. As I have discovered with PowerDirector9 (which produces MPEG-TS format AVC files with MBAFF scan type) this is not to be taken for granted.

I would appreciate it if anyone could help with this small exercise and save me and my PC from another trial install and uninstall.

    thanks

    Graham

I only have the pro version but it should be the same in all versions. If you choose the Blu-ray 1920x1080 50i this will produce a PAL Bluray compatable 1080i file.
