wmv to avi or mpg2?

Hello.
I have a short movie clip I made in wmv format (had no choise) and I want to convert it to avi or mpg2.
Anyone know a free program that can do that? Tried google it but none of the programs I found worked :(

Hi

There isn't always a free program for this kind of thing. Like you say, the free ones don't usually work! Sometimes it's worth getting a company to help as some software can be expensive.

Do you have any video editing software? If so, you can drag the wmv in and then export it out as the mp2 or avi. (You might experience loss of quality if you are unsure of this technique)
