Thread: IR detection from domestic remote controls

Default IR detection from domestic remote controls

I had no idea how much Infra Red was detected by my cheap cams. Whilst invisible to humans, they easily see light from IR Leds in my domestic remote controls (but not the remote on my car keys). Now, if I am wondering if my batteries are low on my remotes; I need only look at them through my camera.
Other than that, I have no idea what I shall do with this knowledge.

Bung on an infra red filter and some clothing goes see-through!
