Default Reset time lengths and auto cross fades for a series of images

    Hello -
I know that I can set the defaults for new image duration and auto cross fade in preferences, but is it possible to select a series of images in the timeline and reset them to the same length (and ideally with overlap cross fades). For example, I have a series of images that I have been mucking with and the time length is all out of wack, but I want to preserve my order and the images that are in the timeline so I don't want to delete and re-add.

    Thanks
    Casey

Hi, there are some commercial scripting tools that allow you to do it. Take a look at this one. Please note that all of them require the Pro version.

Get the 'details' tab open. All of your clips will show on there. Drag across ALL of them to highlight. Type new length in.

In vegas 11 - I don't see details tab - I can "select in project media list", but that still does not let me modify the event times.

11? That's studio then? Assumed you were using 'Pro'. There's a sticky at the top of the forum re stating what flavour of Vegas you're using - saves an awful lot of time!
