Ive looked through some posts here and hopefully im not repeating whats already been asked/answered.
I just finished a film called Tim's World (see it in user videos - http://www.videoforums.co.uk/user-vi...hort-film.html)
One of the issues that has been mentioned is the sound. Ive been told that the sound levels are all over the place. Im not great with sound, I dont really have the ear for it.
Im after advice on the basic steps of making sure sound is treated appropriately in post production. - Obviously during production it also helps to have a sound operator who knows whats going on..
Is it a simple case of keeping an eye on the volume gage and making sure the sound for dialogue/music etc all keeps within similar db range of each other?
