Default What's the best way to arrange working folders & swap file on rig as described

Hi guys' I'm new to this so please be gentle.
I run Windows 7 home premium 64bit ona self built PC as follows:
    Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790X. MEM: 4x2GB DDR2-800 Graphics: GTS250 (1GB) on PCIE x 16.
    Sata II Hard drives: 1 x 750gb, 2 x 300gb. CPU: phenom(tm) 2300 quad core.
I've just bought a 120Gb VertexII SSD + a PhenomII quad core 3200Mhz CPU (fastest MOBO can support)
What is the best way to set up the swap file & working folders for Video Studio pro x4 when using neww SSd along with old drives?
    All advice appreciated

I don't know about swap file BUT what I would do is put the OS and the program file on the SSD, Put the media on the 300Gb disk. If that helps.

It should do, one thing to know about editing HD footage is that the raw footage may play smoothly but one you start putting effects, colour work etc on it it can become jittery or should that be juddery, I mean unsmooth.

I haven't used Video Studio pro x4 so I don't know how good it is at handling footage or if you can adjust it to condensate when the going gets tougher for the processor. In Sony Vegas you can adjust the preview quality to help with this.
