Thread: Sound for Slow-Mo Sequence (Help!)

Default Sound for Slow-Mo Sequence (Help!)

In a commercial I'm editing, I am stuck on boyfriend is monologuing to girlfriend, girlfriend is half ignoring girlfriend and watching someone walk by. I imagine while we're watching her watch the person walk by the sound of the boyfriend should drop out a little and her heart beat is amplified. I'm not sure what the sound should be to introduce the girl friend turning to see the person she's watching or what the sound should be to bring us back out of the sequence. Anybody willing to hold my hand here? Lol

You've seen movies where theres flashbacks ands there in a different color or they have a defussion or a glow effect. Since she's abviously "day dreaming" it's the same concept as a flash back or flash forward since she's there, but she's not there. The effect you put on it, depends on the style of your project.

It's hard to say without seeing the sequence but a simple fade from one to the other. Taking out the ambient sound indicates an introversion or lack of perception of the thing she should be listening to. The heart beat sound will emphasise this change but keep it subtle.
