Thread: Specific Final Cut Pro 7.0 problem

  1. Default Specific Final Cut Pro 7.0 problem

I have a specific problem with the program, I am new to final cut, and macs in general and am slowly getting use to the program.

In the timeline I can use the arrow keys to view the clips frame by frame. If there is audio (a song in my example) I can match transitions or cuts to the exact beat in the audio by viewing the audio meter to detect the beat and the consequential raise or lowering of the coloured bar.
What my problem is is that I have done something (I'm assuming) because what I just previously described above happened for a while and now when I use the arrow keys the video progresses normally (frame by frame for each press of the arrow keys left or right) but the audio is mute, the bars don't raise up or down; instead they are frozen in the last position they were in when I was previewing the project in the canvas (which plays my project fine after rendering).

    Can anyone help?

Make sure audio scrub is turned on.

However - sometimes it just goes away fro no apparent reason - this can also be cured by closing and reopening the project.
It's one of those fcp things that just 'happens' occasionally.
