    Default video file sorting software

    Does such software exist?

    Here are my requirements:

    - I have 2 loads of video files (.mov and .mpg) coming from 2 different cameras
    - The cameras are used frequently often at the same time
    - Is there a program that will sort these two file formats in order that the video was taken?
    - Does that program allow me to burn to DVD?

Eg, sony PMB is excellent but won't show .mov files, Arcsoft shows both formats but wont sort by date.

    Thanks

If you inmport all the files into a Sony Vegas project, the date & time stamp on the file is listed in the project window. You could click on the column heading for that to sort into date/time order, then drag the whole lot onto the timeline which will place them in that order.

    Is that what you're after?

Well it looks to me like the date/time has not been recorded in those MPEG-2 files (I'm not even sure that it can be).
However, the file names seem to be the date/time. If you MOV files are the same, there's hope there.
