I have no idea what Sin City is, but the 3rd of June is my last exam ever, so I doubt I'll be watching TV. Ha ha ha.

I really don't understand why hollywood doesn't do worldwide simultaneous releases - piracy WOULD be reduced. Fact.

They do world wide releases. The Lord of The Rings was worldwide. Sin City will usher in the digital film. There is no doubt about it...Digital is the future. What Rodriguez does with green screen is just amazing. Everything about this movie is just the bomb! Great story and ultra-violent! A few scabs walked out of the movie.

It's partially to do with the cost of reels, and the cost of marketing.

If they released a film EVERYWHERE, simultaneously, they'd have to pay for marketing and reels etc for every territory.

If that film flopped, they'd be VERY out of pocket.

So they dip a toe in the water, and released it in the US first. IF it does well there, it gets released in other territories (and reels get printed, or even just re-used) and it gets marketing money spent on it.

That, and the fact that hollywood, like nintendo, sega, etc, hate us brits.
