    Default Best DVD Quality Codec

I think someone already posted this but, I use windows media encoder but I can't put it on DVD becuase WMV can't be used on a DVD. I'm not sure if I should use DivX. I've edited movies and want to put them on DVD's with good quality so I'm not sure.

if you want to view on a DVD player, then ONLY mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 will work.

mpeg-4 (like divx, xvid etc) will only play on very few players. Generally, these codecs are only for viewing on computers.

If you want top quality, it HAS to be mpeg-2 on dvd.
