Default Premiere pro CS4 and video converter help!

    Hi,

Me and some of my friends are working on a little fun video filmed with my Fujifilm Finepix F3000EXR.

When I import the videos from the camera and into premiere pro there's just a still image, although the sound works perfectly.

I tried search around some on the internet and found a program called virtualdub. I recorded the videos in .avi but when I converted the videos from .avi to .avi in virtual dub it worked but; the video quality sucks. So now I'm wondering if it's virtualdub's fault or mine and what to do about it.

    Thank's in advance

    /jla

EDIT: Just to clarify, what's the best video converter and why is it so laggy??

    Thank's again

Have you tried converting your videos using Adobe Media Encoder?
