Question Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD; muting sound on video clips?

Im eventually getting sony vegas 10, but something isn't working quite right so it'll be a few more days before i get it, and ive already used my trial. The only thing i could use was Sony Vegas Movie Studio, i dont like it really but yeah how do i mute the sound on video clips? I don't see any slider with volume control, but i also can't see the audio thingy below the clip which would allow me to 'split' them?

    Default

Right click on an empty portion of the track and select insert remove envelope and then volume this will give you a blue line where you can raise or lower the volume of any part of the clip. OR If you want the whole clip muted right click on the clip and select switches then mute.
