Default FAT32 and NTFS Hard drives

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm trying to transfer a large file (17gb) from one Mac to another. I can't use my hard drive because it's FAT32 formatted and it has a 4GB transfer limit. When I tried to transfer it to a NTFS formatted hard drive it says it is read only. Is there no way of transferring large files on a mac???

    Thanks for any help.

Hey mate ntfs is the format for pc, fat32 is cross platfor
But like you said has a size limit ... For mac to mac you need to format your Hard drive to mas osx jounaled which is the standard format for mac. Hope this helped
