Default Eliminating (or reducing) reflective glare on LCD

My camcorder has a 3" lcd viewer which appears to be highly reflective.
In bright light I see my reflection in it and very little else.

Can anyone suggest anything to reduce the problem (anything that works that is )

You could make a sun shield out of thick card to put round it. If you do a search on YouTube for camera shield yu will find the sort of thing I mean.

I tried that - I have one of these
Hoodman H-300 Camcorder Hood with H-3C Magnifier H3C B&H Photo

Without the magnifier it still reflects of the lcd with no noticeable change.
With the magnifier it is worse.

(The magnifier goes inside the hood which is not very clear from the image on the site.)

What I need is some sort of matt anti-reflective coating to cover the magnifier (that will mean I can avoid doing anything to the lcd screen).

I don't know what is available to do this and wondered if anyone else had any thoughts.

I'm not sure about the lens bit but if the hood alone doesn't work for you, I don't know what else to suggest.

    Thanks Midnight.

If anyone else has any thoughts I'd be pleased to hear.

I do have a slightly left field idea, you could make up weak solution of paste or flour and water and paint a thin film over the hood lens. When it dries it should leave a slightly matt finish on the lens. If it's too much you can easily wipe it off with a damp cloth.

    That's worth a try.
I'm sure all it needs is something to coat the lens that is non reflective.

My wife also came up with an idea - to try and cover the lens with a bit of material from an old pair of tights/stockings
