Am wondering if there are any pointers anybody could give me here.
Was finishing off a wedding DVD this evening and ran into some problems with the burned discs.
I am using Sony Vegas 9 and DVD Architect, always burn slow - usually 4X and my discs are always Verbatim DVD+R. I was burning discs and was able to watch them on newer DVD players - but on older models it was blocky, choppy, and freezing. I thought this maybe had something to do with the compression, but it was only filling 4GB of a 4.7GB disc.
It got to the stage where I was burning discs and they weren't even playing right on my computer. Have given the discs to the client, who are watching it on a state-of-the-art Blu-Ray, and they have reported no problems.
Is this just a problem with older model DVD players or it is time to change my LG BURNER?
Any compression tips? Should I be letting DVD architect compress the footage for me or should I be using another piece of software to do that - like Sorenson Squeeze?
