I am testing out using DGindex to make a reference file of an mpeg2 file (.d2v) and also exporting the sound seperately as a .WAV then using VFAPI to convert it to avi (its not really a conversion but another reference file) I then open the VFAPI referece file and the WAV file (sound) made by DGindex in vegas. I find it works better on the time line than working with a normal mpeg2 file. Any comments suggestions?
You can leave out the VFAPI bit if you use an avisynth script to point to the .d2v file and mount this avisynth script which produced a folder with a fake avi file in.
