At the Videoforum in February, Angie Taylor, a speaker at the Adobe stand mentioned Adobe ‘Inspired Media’ evenings each month in central London. Anyone been to these? I registered for last night’s (21st March), and inspiring it was.
A freelance videographer gave a talk with explanatory video, about her made-for-MTV stuff. This was followed by user-videos – anyone invited to comment. From simple sequences to some awe-inspiring animation, all done by these graphics students and semi-pros.
Then Kevin, the Adobe host, gave an introduction to Premiere 1.5’s new HDV plugin. It’s groundbreaking, he says, that this quality is now available mainstream. April’s meeting will explore HDV with Premiere in full. (Date T.B.A. after this Las Vegas Video convention.)
There’s some free nosh, and (shhhh) a free bar. A great night, it’s given me a few ideas. You can find the details from adobe.co.uk.
