Thread: New to Premiere, it keeps splitting my audio track?

Default New to Premiere, it keeps splitting my audio track?

I've only been using Premiere a few days, so my apologies if this is a stupid question.

I have an additional audio track (other than the one with the in camera audio) on my timeline, however, every time I add a new clip to the timeline it splits this audio track at the point where the new clip is added (basically shoves the audio away).

Can anyone tell me what settings I would need to change in order to stop this happening?

Move the audio track onto a lower track position.

    The track is already lower
