Default Is Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum v.10 a 64-bit program?

On my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit PC, Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum v.10 is installed automatically in the Program File (x86) folder. Does it mean HD Platinum v.10 is 32-bit?

Yes, SMS Platinium is 32 bit. The only consumer video editing suite that is, at present, native 64bit is Cyberlink Power Director

Thanks for your confirmation on this 32/64 bits issue. It seems the Vegas Pro 10 is 64-bit native which costs 10 times more than the HD Platinum version in the retail market. I am not a pro. I will wait.

To clarify, Vegas Pro is available in both 32bit and 64bit. The licence/serial number covers both.

    I'm just wondering:

Is it still worth getting if I'm running 64-bit Windows 7?

I assume if it's preinstalled on some machines, then the 32-bit version runs fine on the 64-bit operating system? Does anyone know if Sony Vegas has announced plans for a consumer 64-bit version (I don't think I want to invest in the Pro version just yet)?

I am using Sony Movie Studio HD Platinum v.10 32-bit version on a Windows 7 64-bit i7 950. It runs well.

However, when I ran the trial version of 64-bit HD Pro, the rendering time was only about of that rendered by a 32-bit HD Platinum . If you are a casual user and feel comfortable on seeing the computer to render video for hours, just stay on 32-bit HD Platinum to save money.
