    Default Sony HDR-FX1E capture problems

Hi, new here so apologies if this is the wrong thread.

I have a Sony HDR-FX1E. For some reason every time I try to capture recorded footage from my cam and into FC I keep getting the following message:

"Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape. Capture has been aborted and your clip has been saved."

Now I have read on some other forum somewhere that this could be resolved by using a head cleaner tape, which I have done 2 or 3 times but to no resolve. Also the tapes I am using to record are brand new. So I am completely clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

First off - does the footage play back correctly in camera?

Hi. And yes, footage playback on the camera is fine.
