Question how to divide a screen - grid effect?

I am trying to create a video where the screen would be subdivided to multiple squares (like a grid) and its one would play a different footage...
Any ideas how to do that?
    Thanks a lot!

It's called split screen. I would go on YouTube and search for a tutorial on how to do split screen on (Your editing software). This is a lot easier than trying to explain in words how to do it.

Add multiple copies of your footage to the timeline, on on each track. Use the crop tool to reduce the side of each copy so that you can create the squares you want with black/white (whatever) lines you want. It also means you can process each section differently, e.g. different colours etc and have different sizes too if that's what you are looking for.

If you want to be more creative than simple squares use a garbage matte to cut out bits you don't want. This makes things like triangles easy too
