    Default JVC GR-DVL357 Software Disc

    Hi

I have reciently bought a JVC GR-DVL357 second hand, but there was no JVC software disk with it.....

    My Questions are.

Will I need any drivers to use this Camera with I-movie (MAC OSX)?
What was on this Disc anyway?
Do you know of anywhere that I can download the contents of the disc?

I've had a look on the JVC website but there is nothing, I called JVC and they want 50 for a new disc....A bit steep for a CD!

    Thanks

    Gwatty

Apparently JVC bundle some drivers and the PC based Utilities, Presto! Mr. Photo, Presto! Image Folio, Presto! Photo Album. I am not aware of these packages my self, but if you are going to use primarily for editing on a Mac then all you will need in addition is a Firewire card and cable.
COMPAQ something or other with 500Gb Boot Disk, 1Tb external Firewire Disk, 4Gb Memory and a super duper sound card, 19" TFT Monitor etc etc etc

For Video Capture use the Firewire option. The USB cable will be of use only if you want to capture stills from the Card.

If I remember rightly (haven't used a Mac for a few years) Macs are quite good at recognising external devices, but you would need to check with Apple or JVC to confirm this.

The Video side will be OK via Firwire.
