    Default "Double Feature" effect

Hi guys, long time listener, first time caller.

I am editing a video and am wanting to put in replays, and i thought about doing a sort of double feature effect having one video showing the replay in the foreground while having the realtime video in the background.

is the best example i could find(@:1:04)

Could i do the same effect as in the video but do it 2d for simplicity sake? like having two picture in pictures over a static background? I usually use Pinnacle but i think this is probably beyond it. Any help would be appreciated.

I think your right that it wouldn't be possible to do with Pinnacle because of the limitations of the number of tracks You would need at least 3 track to do that or 4 with titles. You would be better off with something like Sony Vegas. The picture in Picture is relatively easy. Also getting them to move is quite easy.
