Default 32bit or 64 bit Windows operating system?

..what difference does it make...and will it affect any Adobe products, i.e, are they compatible with a 64bit OS?

    thanks guys

A lot. CS5 (the current versions) support only 64-bit Windows.

I haven't used CS3/4, but from what I understand they'll work on 64-bit, but they aren't written to take advantage of it the way CS5 is and so aren't as speedy. Same with the newest version of Audition 4.0 that's about to come out (already is out for MAC). It's the first version of Audition that was made for 64-bit, but the older versions work pretty well with 64-bit too. I'm still using the very first verion 1.0, and in fact tried out the last version of Cool Edit Pro (the name before Adope bought it and ruined it) too when I first went 64-bit, and both have worked fine. You may find some of your other programs won't work so well though. Just depends.
