    I nominate these:

finn daniel - if i got good by fuzzymuffin
The Innocence of War: Short WW2 Film by ctbullet
"Afterall". An animation and song by TimAndrews
Romeo and Juliet animated short by Balazs
Perfectly Boring Videos About Film Scoring via Aco... by Swoopie

I go along with the other nominations also.
Apart from liking the videos, I chose these because they are made by contributors to the forum.

how i chose .... lots of these i missed when originally posted so....
after clicking on the link, if the OP had only 1 post i didn't review as i dont think one hit wonders ie, people who only post 1 video and dont bother coming back or even comment on comments that have been left are not deserving of consideration ....imo. also people who only ever post a video and never comment or offer advice on other peoples.... i didnt consider. sorry if this sounds like hand bags but i feel quite strongly about it . these are my nominations for november ...

No need to apologise for acting on something about which you have strong feelings.
Your thoughts are in keeping with those of many of us here, so you should feel at home

I made a spare while to watch through the videos I never got a chance to see before and refresh on those I did, but i see a list in the poll now now that I came back here, if it's not too late:

Assuming this means I was too late right enough, can I request that next time a deadline for nominations is posted, even if it's just a few days or even a week. I really don't get time to watch all the video's as they are posted (I'm sure I'm not alone) and definately don't get time to analize and leave feedback on many. I recon nominating is good way for many people who can't put in as much, for whatever reasons, to give a little back and it could encourage others also.

There's no harm done and at no fault of anyone, but I taken a few hours out of working time to watch through the list, with a deadline I (and probably others) would be able to schedule better in future months.

Apologies David. You're right, I should have given a deadline.

As not many people nominate (and a few more vote ), perhaps it would be an idea for us to have a panel of members for the nominations? I would suggest that Tim, Midnight, Enc, yourself and me would be a good start for that panel.

It's no problem Marc, I realise your used to knowing who usually nominates and acting on that.

I wouldn't be against your suggestion. I suppose it has to be one way or the other, either encourage many to take part or have a system such as you suggest. I certainly wouldn't mind making a bit of time to go through all the videos as I done this time.

I don't mind the idea of a regular panel, but wouldn't want to stop other well respected members of the community from being able to give their input when they are available (I realise sometimes they have to go off and earn a living)

Personally I think we should limit the number of people involved, particularly as everyone gets a chance to vote for the winner.
