Default New user needs help rendering mp4 in widescreen format

Hi, I'm a new user and am attempting to render my project in 1920x1080 mp4 file. However, it seems that regardless of the settings that I employ, my output is horizontally compressed so that everyone looks "thin." What am I doing wrong?

What was the origional size and what is the pixel aspect ratio. Have you got the "stretch video to fill out put frame size" box ticked

My source files are: mpeg-4, 1920x1080x24 progressive scan, pixel aspect ratio is 1.00, frame rate 29.97 (NTSC).

My rendering settings are: Mainconcept AVC/AAC (mp4), 29.97 fps, 1920x1080 upper field first, pixel aspect ratio 100, "Stretch Video to Full Output Frame Size (Do Not Letterbox)" is not checked.

I keep getting a black box surrounding my final video output. Even though both input and output is at 1920x1080, do I still need to check the "Stretch Video..." option?

No you don't need to check the strech box option. I'm not sure what your problem is. May be a screen shot of your editing screen might show up something.
