Thread: replacing my Canon MD101

  1. Default replacing my Canon MD101

    Hi guys,

    just wanted some advice.

I have had for many years a Canon MD101 and for what I use it for it has served me well. The only real issue I have is that the sound quality isn't wonderful and it has the mini dv wurring sound that is becoming an issue. I have posted on forums before and been suggested that I get an external mic but am wondering if there is another camcorder that will have a better spec and better sound without having to use the external mic route. People have told me also to stick with mini dv and not go down the mpeg route.

Any suggestions and models gratefully received. I don't have a lot of money but I do believe in Father Christmas
