Default how to (re)view and play multiple movies simultaneously

    HI,
I digitally restore 8mm films. That often means changing a certain filter or processing parameter and see if the result is better than the original (or previous version).
So I have to compare movies. What movie player (or what configuration) will allow me to see more than one movie at the same time, and have them all start/stop/rewind etc at the same time? Any ideas?

A slightly different way of approaching your particular problem, but Sony Vegas has a split screen facility when applying filters, effect etc so you can preview your settings live as you edit. You've not said what program you're using to edit, but you may find a similar facility in your existing software.
