    Default Tomorrow's the magic day!

Two major events tomorrow for me. I wonder whether, come the end of the day, I'll be smiling or crying.

    1) A completely new Satt/Nav system is being put in my car tomorrow. Seems they've finally given up trying to fix the one that's there and are replacing it completely; and

    2) I'm having my Sony HDR-FX1 delivered tomorrow along with Manfrotto tripod and a nice new Sennheiser shotgun mic

    Can't wait!

Look out for high def video examples soon. Watch this space.

I am more than happy to roadtest your microphone at a real wedding in April.

No charge, just good old fashioned Scottish generosity!

COMPAQ something or other with 500Gb Boot Disk, 1Tb external Firewire Disk, 4Gb Memory and a super duper sound card, 19" TFT Monitor etc etc etc
    Sony TRV33e : Sony TRV310e : Canon XM2
Sony Vegas Studio editions to v11

Remember, there is always more to learn than there is to teach.

Apparently, his next audiovisual piece is called "shaky image of floor tile" with a soundtrack called "talking about pasta" with a huge obtrusive date in the bottom corner reading January 1st 1980, before ending with "oh crap, it's still recording" and cutting immediately to black.

    Sorry for spoiling it.

Millsy I read in another thread here you'd bought a Senny 66 mic, does the Sony have XLR's in or have you bought a beachtek type box as well ?

ha ha. You thought you had caught me out didn't you eh?

Well, strictly speaking, no I haven't bought a beachtek type box.

The good news though, is that it's thrown into the deal for free along with a selection of long and short XLR cables

I won't name the dealer just yet. I'll wait and see if they get the order right and if it turns up in good order first. But I will say that they had a good price, were freindly and were happy to do a deal. I was told delivery would be today. It's now lunchtime and it's not here just yet. Still, it was close to lunch time yesterday when I placed the order so I'm not worried yet.
