    Default Is 704 x 576 25fps normal?

Hi guys i have a panasonic SDR-H250 camcorder and i've never had a problem with video's off it before. But i've just imported some into pinnacle studio 11 and they are 704 x 576 and 25 fps.

Is that normal, they seem very choppy.

The normal size of PAL SD video is 720 x 576 and 25fps is the normal PAL frame rate.

I think you'll find that ITU-R601 defines PAL video as 720x576 but only 704 of those pixels are active on each line. The extra is padding for broadcast.
