I'm very new to creating VCDs and DVDs.
I have a standalone DVD player which says on its casing
that it can play/view DVD/MPEG-4/VCD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3/JPEG.
It's one of those China-made "Weige" brands, model DVD-168.
Does this mean that I don't have to burn an MPEG-4 video
onto DVD or VCD compatible format in order to view it ?
I've noted that MPEG-4 files offer good quality for a smaller
size than MPEG-1 and MPEG-2.
I don't have a DVD burner, just a normal CD burner.
How do I go about it ? Do I just burn the MPEG-4 file directly
onto the CD-R ? Do I need to create a menu for display and
selection on the player and TV screen ?
I am also using AVS's Video Converter. Are there any particular
MPEG-4 formats and bitrates I must convert to ?
