Hi, I’m a beginner in making DVD!
My problem is the quality when I play the burned DVD on a large TV: when the picture contains highly detailed parts (like a big tree with bare branches, wall of a building with detailed surface etc.) this part becomes „noisy, grainy” when there is a movement in the picture. When movement stops the picture becomes perfect. If I play the same movie directly from the camera through the Svideo input of the TV the picture is good.
Movie is shot by a good resolution Panasonic DV camera (NV-GS400), edited in Premiere pro, mpeg is made by Mainconcept encoder. I set 8000 fix bitrate, interlaced, best quality encoding.
I suppose the problem is with the compression. How is it possible that an average commercial DVD produces a perfect picture with an average 5000 bitrate. Is there any way to make a good quality DVD from a good source DV avi ?
