Thread: I need to know how to fade effects ASAP!!

  1. Default I need to know how to fade effects ASAP!!

And no, not to make a fade effect, but how to literally fade effects. I last used Sony Vegas about 4 months ago, and I remember there being this window/menu where I can apply certain effects to certain effects to certain frames in a clip.

I basically want to, on a beat, fade to a higher set brightness, then fade back to normal, all in about 1/4 of a second. I cannot use the normal fade, because then it just fades to black instead of fading to normal. Any help guys?

Keyframes - ring any bells? In the effect window - keyframe the zero effect, then the effect, then zero again...

hover your cursor over the bottom of the FX window and when it turns to a double line with two arrow heads drag up to get your timeline.
