Default Transfer video to lame PC

    Hi

I just bought an ASUS G73J, and it has neither a card slot nor a firewire port. It has an ethernet port, several USB ports, and an HDMI port. I own a SONY DCR-TRV33 video camera. It has these ports: USB, four-pin fire wire, audio/visual, and S-video.

Is there any way to transfer my video to my computer, please? Thanks!

    Chris

PS: The computer is lame only in the sense of not having the fire wire or card slots. Other than that, the machine rocks- great speed, great graphics.

Should I conclude from the number of views and the lack of responses that there is no way to transfer video from my camera to the computer? That would indeed suck, but it would not surprise me.

Is there no converter that will take a/v output and carry it over ethernet? Something silly like that? Do I need to find a comp with a fire wire, transfer it, and put it onto a flash drive? That would seem to be the best solution, I guess.

    Chris
