Exclamation Any fixes for Audio Peaking - HELP!!!!

    Hi All
I'm new here and I come in desperation.
I committed the cardinal sin and have recorded audio that appears to have peaked causing a problem in post. We were shooting using an ex1 with an external mixer and somewhere between this relationship (even though we did an audio line up) we appear to have peaking/distorted audio. We're editing in FCP with Soundtrack at our disposal. Does anyone have any tricks or tips that can either fix or make the distortion less noticeable? I have heard in Sony Soundforge there are some good peak restoration filters that apparently do a good job.

I hold my hat out in desperation and seek any helpful tips i can get.

    Many thanks

    Chris
