    Default windows movie maker/Premier pro

Hello, in windows movie maker you can add a picture and a clip to a clipboard, then in the timeline field you can adjust the clip to fade from an Intro/picture to your video clip! I was wondering how you can get the same affect with adobe premier...if anyone can help that would be great!

Just drag and drop an image on the timeline. If you want it to fade in/out then add the appropriate transition to the start end of the 'clip' - just like normal. No different to adding any other clip to the timeline only it's a JPG (or whatever) rather than an AVI file.

I cant seem to get it to work. The clip just ends like a normal clip, doesnt fade out at the end of clip.

tieo, you didn't buy Premiere Pro, did you?

    1) Window > Effects
    2) (in the Project window (to left by default)) - Video Transitions > Dissolve
    3) Drag the cross disolve to the timeline, and drop at the end of the clip

    Or

    1) higlight (click) on clip in timeline
    2) navigate to where you want the fade to start
    3) Window Effects Controls
    4) in the monitor window, expand Opacity
    5) click on the stopwatch icon to add a keyframe
    6) browse to the end of the clip
    7) change the opacity to 0%

    Or

    Stick with Windows Movie Maker
