    Cool rendering Vegas/rendering Premiere

I do mostly commercials for TV and video for web. I have always edited on Vegas, (I love it!) but now that we have the new CS5 suite, our boss says the quality from Vegas is not as good as Premiere? What say you?

And he bases that on what exactly.

In Houston, every TV station requires a different format. As he looks through the Vegas program, the render he needs is not readily available. He just doesn't have the right presets for the deliverables. We even bought Episode to create a DV (use another program) to render because we couldn't find the proper format. Then he bought CS5 and apparently he can tell a big difference when we go to render now. He says he can tell from the text and the pixelated movement.

Rather than messing about with toys he should just go to Grass valley and use Edius5 that is the business when it comes to quality of codecs.

    I'll tell him. Thanks
