Any reason for the onboard firewire (I take it you don't want to use up a precious PCI slot?)
I'm looking for a micro ATX motherboard with onboard firewire, and connectors for 4 addition USB ports. Needs to be Socket A (462) or 478. I know there are options for socket 754/939/775 but it needs to be 462 or 478.
I found one, but it's approx 3x the price of a bog standard MicroATX board, and it's socet 479 (didn't know that even existed!)
So all in all, I'm wasting your time.
That's one reason. The other is because the case it's going in has front mounted firewire with the cable inside going to connect to some pins on teh motherboard.Originally Posted by Marc Peters
