Thread: MP4 file too large for sony vegas

  1. Default MP4 file too large for sony vegas

    Hi there

I have an mp4 file from a "HD hero go pro" head cam that is 2.49Gb. Sony Vegas wont load this up on the time line for me.

however it will load up all the smaller mp4 files from the same cam, is there a way I can make sony accept larger file sizes? If not, are there any other solutions?

    Cheers, Dave

I wasn't aware that Vegas had a file size limit for mp4. I frequently load MUCH larger HDV files without problems. When you click on it in Vegas explorer, can Vegas play/preview it?

Can you play the video in quick time (or other media player). It's more likely that the video is corrupt rather than too large for Vegas.
