Thread: Can't Play Rendered Videos

    Default Can't Play Rendered Videos

I have Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0, and as much as I want to vid, I can't.

I made a clip which was a couple of seconds, had a couple of effects and it rendered fine. But, when I open it to play it, well, it won't play properly.

It automatically opens in VLC player and is really jumpy, edgy, freezy, jittery etc. It's slightly better in Windows Media Player, yet it's still not playing properly.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix this problem? I really, really miss vidding and I would appreciate as much help as possible, thank you.

It was .avi format and I rendered to the folder it sets up automatically (I hope that's what you meant...)

I am guessing the AVi is uncompress, in which case it s going to be massive in size (have a look), that will clog your system up as you play, causing the jitter playback.

My few seconds clip is coming out at 947MB -- I think that's high, is it? How do I fix it?

I don't have either of those types, would .wmv or mpeg do?

EDIT:// I tried .wmv and it worked perfectly, thank you SO much, I really cannot thank you enough!

they will be fine, wmv(windows media), MPEG is either 1 or 2, MPEG1 is more common for pc use.
