    Default ripping laserdiscs

Does anyone know if there's a way to rip a laserdisc onto a pc with windows xp? I know the cc-12 and cc-13 cables connect a pioneer laserdisc player to a pc with windows 95, but I wasn't sure if that was just for viewing or could be used for ripping as well.

    Is this copyright material?

Yes, I suppose it is copyrighted (it's the extended version of Dead Poets Society). I actually was able to rip it onto my pc with a capture card, but I certainly will not distribute it. I just wanted to edit a few parts of it with windows moviemaker and then transfer it to dvd.
