Hello everyone,

I'll cut straight to the chase. I have a fairly nice webcam that shoots 960x720 .wmv's which show up as HD quality on YouTube, which is great. The problem is as soon as I import it into any kind of a video editor to do some very basic editing, I get a million billion trillion export options, not a single one being as good as the original files.

The original high quality .wmv files turn out to be fairly lightweight, like about ~150-200mb for 10 minutes.
Saving through Adobe Premiere yields (lossless) files that weigh about 8-9Gb. If I use any kind of compression they shrink down to 200, but the quality goes to shit.

TL;DR how do I simply splice together original lightweight yet high quality .wmv's and do simple editing without losing quality and spending hours on rendering?
