Thread: Premiere CS4 - Camstudio

    Default Premiere CS4 + Camstudio

I shot some videos of my software in action with camstudio and I wanted to edit them with premiere.

I tried to export but I allways got 4:3 video with black letterboxing from the right and the left imlanted in the video itself.

    The shots are

    • "Microsoft Video 1" codec
    • 30fps
    • 1440X900 resolution, so as the sequence, when I check its properties.

I couldn't find a decent codec through premiere and when I tried to use ffdshow with premiere exported it crashed, so I picked Uncompressed.

I chose custom aspect ratio, and I tryed both 8:5 and 16:9
    both gave me square.

    What can I do?

    Default

I found the solution to the problem.

Premiere, for some odd reason, imported all the shots as 1.0 pixel aspect ratio.
That can be easily changed by right click-->properties on the video in the imported section and changing to wide aspect ratio.
